Gentle & Natural

Natural relief that actually helps

Simple, gentle ways to ease the most common pregnancy symptoms. None of this replaces medical care - always check with your midwife or GP before trying a new remedy, supplement, or exercise.

Nausea & morning sickness

  • Ginger - tea, biscuits, or capsules
  • Small, frequent meals so you are never too hungry
  • Acupressure wristbands
  • Vitamin B6, at a dose your midwife approves

Tiredness & low energy

  • Short daytime rests whenever you can
  • A gentle daily walk for circulation
  • Iron-rich foods, and ask about your iron levels
  • A calm, consistent wind-down before bed

Back & pelvic pain

  • Prenatal yoga or Pilates
  • A pregnancy pillow between the knees
  • A warm (not hot) compress
  • Ask your midwife for a physio referral early

Heartburn

  • Smaller meals, more often
  • Avoid spicy, fatty, and acidic triggers
  • Stay upright for an hour after eating
  • Sleep propped up on extra pillows

Swelling

  • Put your feet up when you can
  • Keep moving gently through the day
  • Stay well hydrated; try compression socks
  • Sudden swelling with a headache needs a same-day call

Gentle, safe movement

  • Walking and swimming
  • Prenatal yoga and stretching
  • Daily pelvic floor exercises
  • Skip contact sports and lying flat on your back after 16 weeks
